ABOUT CATHERINE L. ROSELLI

Ms. Roselli was born in Ohio in 1964. As a child of a military father, she and her family were stationed in multiple states until they landed in Florida in the early 70’s. Her roots are set here in South Florida. She married her husband in 1996 and has three children and three grandchildren. Family is important to Ms. Roselli, and her success as a person and as a lawyer has been a result of her being able to balance the work/life scales.

Professionally, Catherine L. Roselli has been practicing Family law in Broward County since earning a doctorate of law from Nova University in 1992. While in law school, Ms. Roselli won the moot competition. She also led her national team to argue before the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit for two (2) years. Ms. Roselli also participated in Law Review, based upon her stellar grades.

Ms. Roselli started her career by representing parents in dependency and termination of parental rights cases, and children’s rights remain one of her favorite causes. Today, she serves as a court appointed Guardian Ad Litem for children in dissolution of marriage and dependency cases.

Ms. Roselli is trained in Collaborative Law. Collaborative Law involves negotiations and settling issues outside of the courtroom. It takes the “fight and win” out of the process. Attorneys in this type of Law advise their clients and collaborate to reach an amicable settlement. She also is certified as a Florida Supreme Court Family Law Mediator. Mediation is another way to settle matters. In mediation, however, Ms. Roselli acts as a neutral party working with both sides to reach settlement.

Ms. Roselli’s areas of practice include dissolution of marriage, paternity, temporary custody of children by extended family members, termination of parental rights, adoption, child support enforcement and modification, and modification of parenting plans and parental responsibility.
